So glad you’re here to learn more about what we are doing and who we are. Here are some answers to some questions I get asked regularly.

Will you use my Grandmother’s quilt to reupholster a chair?

I get asked this one A LOT. The short answer – No. But here is why. More often than not – your Grandmother hand stitched her quilt together and it would likely not survive the re-upholstery process. The stiches would break and the fabric likely would not be up to the challenge either. So I’m sorry but Grandma’s work of art will have to stay as it is. But don’t leave it in a chest or tucked away – display it proudly – She worked really hard on that!!!!

Do you use new materials?

YES! So many our future pieces need a complete – down to the wood frame – redo. We make the quilt from all new materials; give it to our magic upholstery man and he uses all new materials to revive the piece to its full glory.

What goes into making a piece from start to finish?

We find our pieces from all over. And, by the way, we are Really REALLY picky. Not every piece of furniture should have a quilt plastered on it, and not every quilt should be plastered on a piece of furniture. SO we start the process by taking its picture in it’s as is condition…. Sometimes we look at it on the design wall for a few days or weeks OR sometimes we know right away the exact match of color and design it should take.

Where do you get your furniture?

From all over. No not trying to be cagey – just really from everywhere.

Will you take my chair (or other piece of furniture) and do this process?

I would love to say YES! to this question. But at this point, we aren’t up and running for custom/commissioned pieces. So stay tuned we’ll get there some day!

Who are Olive and Owl?

My daughter’s nickname is Olive and I really have a thing for Owl’s, so there you go.

Product Care:

Clean fabric with water-based cleaning agents or water-based foam to remove overall soil. Frequent vacuuming or light brushing to remove dust and grime is recommended. Do not use solvents to spot clean.

The full over disclaimer:

These are not new pieces of future and the pieces are not how I would define “fully restored”. They will have bumps, scrapes, and sometimes some real wear. Having said that I will be very upfront about the specific condition of a piece. If you have questions or concerns, please let me know. Each piece has it’s own condition report – but if you need more information before making you decision please let me know.
